I'm at Step #3 of my 5 year plan....

Step#1) Well, I moved out August 1st and stopped paying someone else's mortgage so they could buy more rentals....

Step #2) was to sleep in a small tent for a short time.... That lasted about 12 days, could have gone longer but 105 degrees in a tent sucks.

Step #3) was to get my Rent To Own storage building set, and it took me a couple hours to get window A/C installed and everything transferred from tent.

Step #4 will be to install electrical, insulate, install shower, Eccotemp L5(LOVE IT!!!) toilet, kitchen, washer/dryer, plumbing, PEX, etc.... and save money! (And get ready for winter)

Currently, my electric is costing me about $1.85 a day, (with this heatwave)
The house was about $260 a month for electric (I was cooling rooms I hadn't been into in months!)

Me---> <-----Craig from Craigslist

By my estimation, I've got about 71 more steps to go

first pic is building
second pic is my first sunset from bedroom window

How bad are the real estate prices in the States?

I know it isn't great here on this side of the ditch.

I needed something livable in less than 2 weeks.
I lived in the little tent 10-12 days while storage building was being built... It's only $150 a month, and it will serve dual purpose... Laundry, bathroom, kitchen, and a place to sleep(short term)
The land I'm on is rent free, only pay water & electric.

And no disposable income, because "the rent's too damned high"

Understood. Do you own the land?
