ISO decent sofa/futon? Ikea?

Any recommendations for a decent, yet reasonably priced futon/sofa sleeper? Nothing too long. Could even be loveseat size. I've looked at bit at Ikea's website but not sure how well they hold up... any experience with theirs? Thanks much!!

YouTube has some really cool build videos on bed/couch made of slats, pulls out into a bed sits up as a couch and has drawers or doors underneath

Our first bus build used a full size futon with a big upgrade for a pocket coil spring mattress. It worked really well and we got a great mattress with it. We're building a bigger bus with a bed platform that doesn't have to fold and upgraded to the Tuft & Needle queen size mattress and it's a lot better.

I am using a cheap metal tubing framed futon from walmart or one of those cheap stores. Works good and comfortable.

We put a Futon from IKEA in our bus. It is loveseat size when it is a "couch" and then folds out to a near queen sized bed. We have been using it for about four years and it is a great bed and has held up well for us.

Thanks all for the input!

JA Savage, which one did you get from Ikea that you're pleased with? I was looking online at Ikea's Nyhamn or Lycksele Lovas (love that it covers completely up for a sofa)… or actually the Balkarp because it's so ridiculously cheap I have to at least peek at it…

This would be the sofa towards the front of the bus for hanging out on and a spare bed if we need it. Thinking a double bed in the far back, and a twin/bunks somewhere towards the back too, that would be the main sleeping beds.

We got the Lovas and it is as comfortable as our bed at home. The thing about the Lovas is that it rolls out and the back of the "couch" becomes the part of the bed closest to the wall that the "couch" is sitting next to and the bed will roll out about the width of the bus so you can not have anything much on the opposite wall.
