I vote with Rabiznick. It's actually all about attitude. In the traditional meaning of the word.

I spent a year hiring the drivers at Ye Olde Trucking Company. We hired one in ten applicants.
And even some of those didn't really want to work -- they applied only because the wife made
them. Those guys were never any good -- because they didn't want to be.
So I conclude that running a business is all about attracting and keeping people with a healthy
mind set. Luckily, we get a few of those also, and GAWD we need to keep those guys!

This "inside" information transfers directly to us as customers. SEARCH FOR the competent
people. They are out there. Then shop there.

Around here it's Kragen and Autozone. I say that because I worked at NAPA for 3 yrs before I got a real job($30 vs $7.50 an hr) .
Either way, I look up all my part numbers online before I go to either place.
