It's Snowing!

BIG FLAKES! And it's LAYING! This is bad. Staying warm inside though. Gonna make chili for lunch. At least this is my last snowy NM winter. I dislike snow. Snow is a four letter word.

Re: It's Snowing!

This was Friday morning...sadly it all melted by afternoon. The first snow of the year is always the most beautiful to me. This is a pic off my phone with no effects..that is how it really looked!

In this pic you can see the predator protected runs for our chickens... had to clear the snow off of them to throw down the girls scratch feed..lol They had fun in the snow!

We got our first measurable amount in Iowa last night. Can't say I am looking forward to it. But the kids sure like it.

Re: It's Snowing!

It stopped snowing. Good thing. Tomorrow is a busy day. Go to the hospital to arrange a payment plan (they do that you know), pick up the ashes the the funeral home and the take the girls back to Socorro, spend the night then I head back to Roswell. I need to find out if I work Wednesday or not. Home Depot has been great about letting me have so much time off. I was schedualed to work Saturday, Sunday Monday and Tuesday. So I guess I will call them on Monday to see if I will be working on Wednesday & Thursday which were my schedualed days off. I kinda dread going back to work. I just know they will end up making me cry by being far too nice to me. I hate crying in public.

Re: It's Snowing!

I guess I have confused a few people. so here it is...

David died on Thursday, Nov 13th. Woke me up having a heart attack. Took him to the emergency room in the lousy snow. They stabilized him then sent him up to a room. We sat there for over an hour then he said he was feeling bad. I think he had a stroke. David & I had discussed what we wanted over the years and I did exactly what he asked for... so far. When Das Mel & I head back east, we will stop and scatter his ashes along the various beaches. I'm planning on holding back a bit and scattering the last at the big overlook on the Cherohala Skyway. He loved the view from there and said that would be a good place to scatter ashes too.

Don't put things off. Sometimes there isn't a "tomorrow", there isn't a "later".
