Jake VonSlatt is becoming famous!

I was cruising the school bus fleet magazine forums and I found this post. Looks like even the professional bus drivers are taking notice of the skoolie crowd.

LOL!

I saw some of the refferrals for that link in my web logs but I could never find the source, thanks! If it ever snows in the North East again I'll let you know how those chains work.

Speaking of my 15 minutes - look for me in the "Made on Earth" section of the next "MAKE:" magazine !

If you've never seen the mag, check it out - lots of great stuff:

and be sure to check the MAKE:Blog too:

Right now they've blogged my "Home Depot Bike Headlight" Project, it's about halfway down the page (on 12/21/06).

Cheers!

Hey, Jake! I'm sending you a ream of quality bond paper cut in quarters, can I have yer autograph(s)? I've been looking for a niche on Ebay, maybe this is it! OOPS! Now I've blown my cover! Oh, well. . .

Another great thing about your "15 minutes", it will generate hours more interest and enthusiasm for and about skoolies. Today the back-alleys, tomorrow THE WORLD! BWA-HA-HA!

Hmm . . . well . . . since this thread was already here . . . I might as well mention that I was recently profiled over at The Aether Emporium in regards to some of the stuff I've been doing at The Steampunk Workshop.

Cheers!

Jake.

LOL! I guess there's no such thing as a "local" newspaper anymore!

Watch for my keyboard project in the July issue of Popular Science !

Cheers!

That's WAY cool, Jake! Another outstanding, functioning work of art! I wish I had a fraction of your talent!

That Steampunk project is you? I feel so honored, it made the User Friendly link of the day. Of course I also made the link of the day with a site full of bad jokes, so that tells you the sort of crowd you are running with.

Re: Jake VonSlatt is becoming famous!

OK, I hate the thread title but it's the appropriate place. WIRED.com did a little piece on me a couple of weeks ago:

http://www.wired.com/culture/design/new ... 6/vonslatt

That included a little info and a pic of the bus conversion:

http://www.wired.com/culture/design/mul ... y_vonslatt

Sorry about the 'misfits" bit!

Jake.
