Just wanted to say...

I'm glad to be alive!

I'm not exactly where I want to be in my life, it's been touch and go for many years, but I beat the odds. And I'm about 3 years into my 5 year plan.

Today would have been my 33rd. Anniversary to the ex wife, so a great big FU to you! You didn't break me like you said you would!

Anyway, I'm thankful for what I have

I'm lucky to have the greatest woman on the face of the planet.
But I had 7 years with a horrible ex wife and several horrible women after that till a good one came along.
You're an awesome person, Brian.

Freaking amazing!!!
I could never have raised a better dog! I didn't have time to train a pup, so I couldn't have done it justice.

It sounds like there's a rough story there, but I'm glad you've come through it and can enjoy the life you have. You seem like a great person.

Also, what a cute puppy dog!!!

I'll keep it short... Just imagine a 5 year divorce in Supreme Court

Buddy is truly my buddy. If he doesn't go in, I don't need to go in!

Only place he doesn't go is Dr. visits, grocery store, or restaurants(drop him with my son)...

I have a saying that has served me well
"Woman is to man as crops to the land"
Meaning , new ones need to be rotated in every few years because the old ones become unproductive & lazy.

I dont try relationships any more.. my family betrayed and slammed me for being Gay and not going to college.. in romantic relationships I only ever got used, abused, taken for money, and left in the cold... ive deemed myself forever Un-dateable and un-marriable..

many of my friends have alienated me because I work so much..

I travel too much to have a dog.. im not a take a dog everywhere i go kinda guy..

so I just work all the time and build stuff.. first it was cadillacs.. classic and older daily drivers.. fix them up, drive them, sell them... for awhile it was crazy HVAC systems people told me could never work (but do)..home automation way before it was cool.. then it was hotrods and race cars.. built some neat go fast stuff.. now its school busses.. learn to hack the electronics, build my own control systems, swap drivetrains, alter the interiors and climate controls.. and drive them everywhere.. as busses..

its always been computers.. ive built them since I was a kid in 1982 and my first PC clone came in Pieces..

I suppose thats why my work is in technology.. not sales.. nor HR.. nor CSR.. I can ,visualize, design, program and build.. its all I know really

Dad always told me they were like shoes-
When you wear one out, find a new pair.

Wow

That's heartbreaking. I hope that your family will figure out what they're missing, and get over themselves. There is no reason to be ashamed of who you are or whether or not you went to college.

Romantic relationships are tricky. Both people have to want it, and have to continually work on keeping the relationship strong. Both people have to willingly put aside selfishness and actively choose to love the other (even when they are unlovable). It's really no surprise that so many marriages end in divorce.

On the other hand, love catches you by surprise. I seem to only fall for someone when I'm really not trying to, and then all that sense and knowledge just falls to the wayside.

A classic quote I passed on to my daughter a few years back when she was trying to"think through" a relationship...
