Living in a school...

I know some people live in their buses but has anyone considered living in an actual school? i was browsing Zillow and came across a school for sale. After sparking my interest did a bit more research and it looks like Detroit Public Schools have some schools for sale!

I'd hang out in a school for sure. Probably put a sweet shop in there and a good kitchen and game room and ... oh man could pull the bus right into the gym.
for a shop and hang out yes but my building living days have passed behind me now lol I can't sleep without knowing there is a big block GMC engine in my living room

Or would it... on second thought most the fun of mischief at school was the excitement that someone minded and was preferably perturbed by it. Maybe with that it would just be an empty endeavor?

But then again we could invite other schoolies to come skate the hallways (btw i could rollerskate but never quite felt comfortable on a skateboard, possibly a genetic limitation due to being born in the 70s

idk, but in FL the public schools are almost exclusively planted in the rotten heart of the ghetto. I'd imagine in Detroit it would be even worse.

I know several people that live in old inner-city schools where the neighborhoods gentrified.. the schools were typically in the 20,000 - 30,000 sq ft range.. smaller buildings built in the 1920s - 1940s...

one couple bought a typical school.. 200,000 sq ft i think... then sold off part of the land to a developer who built some trendy apartments.. they have about 30,000 sq ft of living space now along with the old wood / metal shop as their garage (it has a bay door)... and the school "cafeteria" kitchen is changed into a kitchen / dining.. and the dining hall is indoor basketball for their kids who are aspiring stars..

over the top? maybe but cool as all get out...

I revived the old boiler Heating system for them, we use the original fan-coils that sat under the windows.. (the windows are all new custom made andersen's that look like the original school windows)... I used a Daikin 30 ton Multi-zone VRV-III for its air-conditioning / Heat pumps...

I'd love to see someone "gentrify" my middle school. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
