Looking at Christmas lights

Hi all:

Tonight we had some fun with the bus. We met some friends and went looking at Christmas lights all together on the bus. It was a total of 9 kids and 4 adults - we had hot chocolate, spiced tea, popcorn, etc. It was great fun and I managed to not clip a single curb! Due to all the stuff going on this time of year I haven't been able to start the conversion yet, but it's great to get some recreation use from the bus as it is. It's a great bus to drive - I am really happy with it.

Anyway, I thought there might be some others here who would like the idea.

- Tony

BTW, this was another time that having a GPS enabled Blackberry came in really handy - looking ahead in neighborhoods I am not familiar with to make sure there was a clear path through.

Think of how much better those lights will look when you get power back.

We just got that little storm of your's here in CT. It was very dry, light, fluffy snow. Almost a foot of it. Fortunately it's pretty bad at ripping down powerlines.

Re: Looking at Christmas lights

Power is still off in some areas but I think most people have it back now. There were definitely fewer lights up this year. In a few places I still had to go around downed trees but it was still fun.

I hope the storm is nicer to you guys. Next, we are supposed to get up to 8" of snow starting tonight.

One highlight of the night was at a *really* nice neighborhood where I half expected to be turned away by the guards at the gates. Instead, they went out of their way to open the truck entrance for us to use since the main gate arches were a little low. Maybe putting a wreath on the front of the bus paid off...

Re: Looking at Christmas lights

Every year I decorate my bus with lights and have a cool vintage looking santa in the drivers seat. Halloween also gets crazy decor.
