Mid-Atlantic Skoolies
Anybody from the DelMarVa / mid-atlantic /southern PA / WV areas? There seems to be a shortage of folks from around here. I know of 2.
I'm in MD. If there's an interest maybe we get a meetup together. ?

I was going to start a Mid-Atlantic Skoolie thread, but thought I would use the "search" function first. I realize this thread is a year old, and I realize that last year the thread went nowhere...
However, since joining the forum, I have noticed many skoolie.net members from the DELMARVA (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia) area. I have also had few folks on the forum ask about coming to check out the Gillig, the Chevy Volt battery pack, etc.
I am way down south here in SOMD (zip 20637), but I would welcome a Mid-Atlantic Skoolie (MAS) get together at my place, and I would participate in other MAS get togethers within 2-3 hours from my house.
I have participated in other forums (cars, motorcycles) where we had occasional gatherings and often had "tech days". Maybe one of us is a subject matter expert (SME) in: applying spray foam, building cabinets, doing electrical, mounting solar panels...
Maybe someone in the area could use a hand with a big or overwhelming job on their bus. Or there may be a forum member who is coming to the DC area, and on and on...
So if you live in the area or are going to be passing thru, reply and let me know what you think.

Hi Rick,
We're planning on being in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area in late fall and would love to meet up.

That would be great. We are ~3.5 hours north of Norfolk, in zip 20637. Are you guys considering driving up or maybe Lisa and I could drive down to meet you. Either way we'll figure it out.

We're not sure of any of the details yet. Our middle son and his girlfriend live in Norfolk and my parents live in Chambersburg, PA. You're a bit east of the route we'll be taking between the two, but we are not anticipating being on a strict schedule so I think we'll be able to come to you.

I know this thread is years old. But my wife and I are getting a bunch of Local skoolie people together and wanted to extend the invitation to anyone interested. We are all bringing our buses and plan to share build progress, advice, and check out eachothers handy work. Hope to see you all there!
