Helping someone learn how to search is like teaching them to build a fire.

Answering a few questions for them today is like cooking them supper.

The supper feeds them today, the fire feeds them for life.

I try to help people long term, for life.

By all means ask away.

What you may find is the more knowledgeable people tend to jump in less, and the less experienced / knowledgeable people will repeat something they read on the internet. Every time it gets repeated, it changes to their understanding and twist. Soon there is no truth left to the keyboard expert.

When something is learned from a build thread, it is truth. The build was done, the builder / user seen it work first hand. They learned from the experience, and took the time to share the knowledge gained.

That is what I enjoy about the forums.

Jenna.....I grabbed this from another posting.

Bansil suggested:

yeah, welcome and just start reading the posts in this section, and then when you see stuff you like, you can check out their build threads

Tons of info here, also!

if you google like this:

skoolie.net + water + tank

it gives better hits only on this site, same with other things, almost always better than site search engine

for example:

skoolie.net + bansil + la tortuga + solar = will give me on this site, in La Tortuga doing solar...kind of like clue

Maybe you can try this for ideas and answers to any questions you have. Ay least it'll let certain people know that you gave it the "old college try".

dang 21 year old young-un

I said "back before you were born, you had to have plus signs, and we still used the command prompt for stuff"

A kid get's a math/computer science double major....then....they get all smart and stuff
