Need help from the Canadians (non-bus ?)

Once upon a time, we used to have a C-Band satellite dish and we watched a lot of CBC in the clear for many years before it went totally digital and we could not get it unscrambled (right in the middle of the season of DaVinci's Inquest... bummer). Anyway, there was a cartoon that the kids and I used to watch that was very much like Jay Ward's Rocky & Bullwinkle. Do any of you remember this show and what was the name of it? It's been bugging me for a while and I can't find it by doing a web search.

Try asking the kids--after all, they were the ones watching it

This is where I bought my programming from after they started scrambling. Once upon a time, even channels like Disney were in the clear. Only XXX and HBO, SHOWTIME and the like were scrambled.

If I could remember that far back I wouldn't have forgotten how to speak Quebecois French. I have a memory like Swiss Cheese.

One of the local stations used to run DaVinci's Sunday nights after the late-late news (i.e. wee hours Monday morning) in analog. I later found they sometimes had it on a digital .2 or .3 sub-carrier after the HDTV transition. I have watched several episodes while channel surfing.

The show certainly is an acquired taste, being nothing like the US cop shows. I found it interesting. If my wife walked in and I explained what I was watching, she would just shake her head and leave.
I missed the transition episodes from Coroner to Mayor, though.

Re: Need help from the Canadians (non-bus ?)

All I wrote was watching something that is unscrambled wasn't pirating. I don't how that got blown into this. I was just stating my opinion. As far as you know who, I just ignore her rants. Not worth the aggravation.

I got to read it before it was deleted. I have been telling my friends to start read this forum because of the more colorfull interaction. Now the color is gone

I believe everyone has a right to their opions and should be able to post it, but name callling should only be done between friends. I thought Nat and Lorna where being friendly. Maybe I was wrong.

Re: Need help from the Canadians (non-bus ?)

To clarify... Das Mel is one of my daughters. She is the one whom we gave the Class C to.

All I wanted to know was the name of a cartoon we used to watch on Canadian TV. I though it was something that could not possibly draw the ire of anyone. Wrong again.

I'm sorry I ever posted any question.

This,

plus this,

equals this.

The funny thing is that you both want the same thing, to help people. You just can't seem to handle conflict. It's the internet guys, don't take things so serious
