that for sure is a long way away. And I dont know how that would work to import in to Canada. So I really would like to help you out but I doubt I am able to.
Post some pictures.

Just checked on Google Earth, that would be about a 3400km trip one way.
Sorry

It for sure does sound like a good deal. However there is still that boarder crossing thing, I know that BC can be very tough to get a vehicle licensed that isnt sold in BC.
And besides that I wouldn have the time at the moment ot take a long trip like that.
I hope you'll find a seller down there.

... How much for this one ???

... Better be less than the first one you were looking at...

... You might want to explore that one in AZ a little more...

this one is way less. $1500 and just south of the boarder so about 1400km for me.
But I just checked on the customs web site and I dont see Gillig on the list of admissable buses to Canada, so I'm not sure if I even can get that one in.

Well, I would agree that is too much money for a converted bus. If you want to spend that kind of cash I'll deliver my bus to you personally, Seriously. However, here are a few postings of busses for sale in Calgary, ab on the buy-sell.

http://www.buysell.com/root/detail/Calg ... _flat.aspx

Here are some in BC.

http://www.buysell.com/root/detail/Brit ... _1500.aspx

http://www.buysell.com/root/detail/Brit ... OJECT.aspx - this one is cheap and wouldn't take much to turn into a simple camper and with the price of propane it's worth a look.

However, if the price is right, Mine is for sale. PM me and I'll send some updated pics and info if you are interested.

Otherwise, good luck and stick with it. A skoolie is a great way to see the country.

Hey thanks for the links CaptainKF. The one with the propane conversion I have already seen in BuyandSell. However they dropped the price already since the last add. If I would just plan to drive this bus around our area I would buy it right away, but we do plan a cross country and cross states trip and I doubt that propane fueing stations are as readely available elsewhere then here in out Propane loaded province. also the fuel use on propane is about 1/3 higher then on gas.

I really like the BlueBird from calgary, flat nose lots of room and also comes with some appliances. the pictures however show all the seats in where the add states the seats are out.
You wouldnt be just living next door to this guy would you
For me its a 11 hour drive, but I will send him an e-mail anyway.
Next week is a RB Auction in Grande Prairie with a coupple skoolies on sale. I might try bidding on them.

I dont really want to buy a fully done conversion since I will have to accomodate 8 people and most conversion arent build for that size of family.

Good luck with your move

Sorry, I don't live right next door and with the move coming up fast we have little time. It is difficult to see the ads in the states because our prices are a bit higher, but not much. We bought our for $700 and it needed work. There were a few in town with diesel engines for under $5000 that were solid. It is possible to bring busses into canada however there is allot of paperwork and money involved depending on the year and model (from what I have been told). If you are travelling long distances I would recomend not getting a propane powered bus (as one who has one) as it is a bit of a pain to find fuel some places. It is however far cheaper to run in alberta and bc than other fuels. Be sure to have a mechanical inspection done! Where up north do you live? I have a bunch of RV conversion stuff I am clearing out, so if you have someone in the area to store it for you it could be worth your while as I just want it gone.

Here are some links to the stuff posted on craigslist.org
