plus the picture doesnt even look like metal. thats what engines are normally made out of. (explanation: I have no idea what any of this means )

So it looks like a detroit diesel two stroke that replaces a head with another piston coming down and the combustion is happening in the middle? I donno I think mechanical loss will outweigh any gains. I could be wrong, but most things have been tried in internal combustion engines and I don't see this becoming the next big thing.

The moving picture showed two rods connected to each of the outer pistons. I had to watch it for a minute before I noticed that its just the perspective hiding the other rod behind the piston head.

I thought that 2 stroke engines are obsolete because of oil controll and excessive emissions, just another program to liberate our tax dollars
