Thanks man.

Animal control came by and scanned the dog. Its "owner" lives near where we found it. He says he "gave it to someone on his street that they don't know and he doesn't know how to get ahold of them".
I can't stand people. What a lame story. The owner dumped the dog. Just like we thought.

She's 3 years old and named Maggie.
At least its a Scots/Irish name!

They're going to try to find it a home and we're going to hold her till then- unless she goes full chimp at night again.

We thought it had pups based on its appearance.
Turns out its fixed.

I'm going to make it my purpose in life to let the family of the owner know their "daddy" dumped their precious family pet. We've made some signs with a pic of the dog and "Maggie was dumped by her owner on Ondich RD Sunday evening". I don't have the guy's address but I know if I post those flyers around his tiny town folks will know who he is.
Doxxing this jerk as hard as I can.

The dog did well last night. No noises. Dixie is now an inside dog and that dog is occupying the kennel.

It jumped up on the door of our car and scratched it. That sucks but at least its not going full chimp.

We've reached out to all the groups and individuals know for dog rescue and stuff. No luck so far. Same as when we found 11 kittens abandoned.
Everyone loves animals till its a hassle for them.

Sometimes I wish I could turn off my empathy circuits!

So I'm a huge dog lover and I have a couple of rescued Lab mixes that will go wherever I go so I'm making the bus accessible for them to come and go like home. I've been buying a lot of items at a auction site and get pretty lucky sometimes. This was one of those times. I though I was buying a sliding window of some sort according to the description and it was in a plain unmarked box. I won the auction for $1.45 and imagine my surprise with I got it home and opened it! It was brand new! Now I just have to incorporate it into my front door of the bus and I'm set. They'll love it no doubt. I hope this picture loads.
Just checked and it's not loading. I'll keep trying but its a brand new sliding patio large pet door insert worth almost $200!

Well its official, I too dum to add a photo! Ugh!

I've got about 24 days to decide what to do.
The so called rescue groups and individuals are of NO help. In fact I'm starting to think "animal lovers" are all talk. I've NEVER had any luck finding any help with stray animals. I couldn't find a home for kittens, who's going to take a pitbull someone's emotionally neglected?

Unless some miracle happens I may have to have to put this dog down. As upset as the dog is with its predicament I think putting it down would be preferable to dumping it or sending it to dog prison. I don't think locking this dog in a closet will do it any good. I'm having to yell at it and spray it with a hose to shut it up and that's not good for me or the dog.
My neighbors hate HATE HATE me for this.

Faith in humanity lost.

Got ahold of a good pal of mine who's really into pitbulls. He's out in Wyoming and gave me the number of a friend of his in my town who is also passionate about dogs, especially these. She works at the humane society and is going to keep the dog at her home and try to work with it and find it a home. She's on her way over.
I slept like a rock all day after hearing from her. She just got off work and is on the way.
Woooooooot woot!

The dog is off to its new home. It seems to be getting better every day and the animal lady who took her says its a REALLY nice dog and a great example of the breed.
Its off to its new home with a nice older couple who just lost a dog and want a dog like this. They have 5 acres and don't live in town.

Feels good. Like winning, almost. I'm elated and about to roll up something monumental and celebrate with Roxy.

All I'll say is I'm looking at getting a bus to haul all of my four legged critters around in.

I won't say what the total is but when someone knocks on my front door which sets off the dog alarm, they usually run and get back in their truck and high tail it out of Dodge!

My motto is "always room for one more". All are rescues or WalMart freebies.

Feeding time:

It's catnip (on the chair)

Watching people take their cats outdoors on adventures has got me feeling guilty, so I'm getting her used to just having the harness around first.

Ugh! I've had a HORRIBLE rotten day.

I started taking care of a pair of feral cats. Brothers. They show up together almost every night. A month or two ago they showed up neutered and haven't left.
I went to treat one for fleas and tick with those RX drops... Only my dumbass used the DOG medication... Been trying to catch this cat all day. Just totally bummed. It will die if I don't trap it and get it to a vet asap. Been in a full on panic all day.
Wish me luck yall this sucks so bad.
