On my way to work this morning:

So I was taking my better half to work this morning at 6:45AM, and while stopped at a light, movement in the next car caught my eye. I looked over to see the young man in the car next to us has his phone in a holder stuck to his windshield. Now this is not, in itself, an unusual occurrence as that is what those holders are designed for. But remember when I said movement caught my attention? Well it turns out the movement was porn... on his phone, mounted to his windshield, quite plain for anyone to see. I don't know why he feels the need to watch porn on his way to wherever he was going at 6:45 AM. I don't really care, I am just trying to figure out why people think that their un-tinted car windows shield them from the view of others. I have seen countless people digging in their noses deep enough to be swirling around gray matter, but this is whole new level! We could not believe that this guy was just driving along enjoying his porn in plain view.

I am sure others of you have seen some crazy stuff on the highways and byways, please share it here.

Re: On my way to work this morning:

Bristol Tn actually had to pass a law making watching porn illegal in vehicles due to the motor homes during race time (BMS) and all the complaints they received from other motorists

Gotta give it to him; the guy probably is cognizant of the fact that other people see him. He just doesn't care. He needs to get himself a pair of Google glasses. Also, at what point does multitasking really go over the line?

"Hey Honey... yep. Just driving to work. Traffic's pretty crappy today. Nah... it's cool. I stopped and got some gas station cappuccino and I'm watching "Simone Does San Diego" while I wait for the traffic to move. Sure, take-out sounds great for dinner. See you soon."

Better this than seeing a driver get a hummer while driving down the road.

Re: On my way to work this morning:

Probably the most blatant was a guy I passed on I-90 years ago who was driving with one hand. The other hand was propping one of those old portable 9-inch ± DC TVs on top of the middle of the dash watching the baseball playoffs.

I do think I saw one of Cal's friends, though. I pulled out onto a rural State highway behind a guy in an old car going kind of slow. Suddenly there was a second head in the passenger's seat, and she grabbed her sunglasses off of the dash and put them on . . . .

Re: On my way to work this morning:

I've seen it three times. One time I was driving a passenger van filled with people. I stopped at a red light when a BMW pulled up next to us. When I looked to my left, I saw what was going on next door. I chuckled and said something to the guy next to me.. He then yells out to everyone what's happening next door. These were all business people on a dinner trip. That was the highlight of the evening.
