Yes, folks can and will put political spin on this. However, strip this story down to its basic elements and you're left with a sick loser murdering folks who were just going about their business and had done nothing to the killer. Add to this the identity of the victims as military men and this hits home: chances are all of us are active or veterans ourselves, or have loved ones who serve(d).
