Quick question, ne answers?



Im very new to this!
Quick question can't
Really find many clear
Tutorial video's on how
To patch up holes in the
Bus from bolts/nuts/screws?
I always see people putting
Something liquid n smearing
It around then sanding it
Down? Is it acrylic or some
Type of bonding? Please let
Me no if anybody has a link
Or what the materials are called
& how to properly do it! Thanks

Me...I welded all of my seat holes. Unless you are using a true commercial grade, high tech adhesive on a properly prepared surface, I would expect to see leaks in fairly short order. And once everything is built on top of the floor...they will be very hard to address later.

At first I thought your question was some sort of poem about acrylic caulk.

The answer is: it depends

If it's in a place where it won't affect you (won't cause a leak or a draft, or won't see it) then just leave the hole. If it's unsightly, you could weld or body fill it.

If it's in galvanized material, welding should be followed up with a covering of cold galvanizing spray on both sides.

Vehicle seam sealer works great as well.

I used tin caps and glue to seal the holes.

Tin caps:
Grip-Rite 1 lb. Tin Caps-TIN1 - The Home Depot

Glue:
Robot Check

I used that glue because I had some leftover. I'm sure there is better stuff out there, but it seemed to work.
