Rail car event Lewiston, Idaho

My wife and I attended a Rail car event. I captured a few pics of a really neet rail car. I do not yet have a running rail car also called rail speeders. The pics are of a single large Fairmont car powered by a 2.3l Pinto engine. Frank

Man! One of those things would be a BLAST! (Be hard to fit a jacuzzi in, though, eh Jason? LOL!)

the jacuzzi can go in the "coal" car...afterall, we need to heat the water.

speaking of crazy rail things....anyone seen video of the herzog cartopper?? if you like mechanical things this is for you. it's a backhoe that loads itself on top of rail cars then can either pick things up along the tracks and put them into the railcar, or can unload a railcar. they're pretty cool to watch...the video is pretty boring the first 30 seconds, but after that it's pretty good. it can even move from one rail car to the next all on it's own

These lil speeders cruise right by our house two or tree times a year. They might be the same club we are about an hour and a half north of lewiston. There is about 20-30 of them in the club now. Very fun to watch and wave at while they putt by and toot their horns. I wish I could travel like that all the time.
