by design locating a roof mount A/C inside would be a bit of an undertaking.. if you take the lid off you can see that typically they are on a single shaft fan whuich means your condenser and evaporator get their airflow by the same fan..
to put one on the insdie of a bus.. you could fabricate some type of ducting for the outside portion but you would still need a big hole in your bus to bring in and exhaust the air for the condenser.. and then you must handle the condensate water...
if you want to run Air-conditioners Inside your bus your best bet is to buy a couple portable A/C units that only require 2 round holes about 3-4" in diameter to intake and exhaust the condenser air...
there are various models ourt there of portables.. they are typically 120 volt and you would want 2 pipe type as the yare the most efficient in a small space... LG makes some decent ones.. and a company now even makes a generator-friendly inverter type but its a bit pricey ($900)..
