Nat- what year is that Piaggio?
I've been looking at a couple of them locally but all the ones I've seen here are 125 4 strokes. Not that its the end of the world, but I'd rather have an oil burner.

My Piaggio is a 2006.

Something happened not long after that, and the two strokes vanished from the market.

Something to do with regulations in California?

The entire North American market is often victim to Ca emissions standards.

Oh...you must be referring to "The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia".

Ya...the whiny, Liberal, State government is a PITA for everyone. Small wonder they are broke, on fire and out of water.

A Margaret Thatcher quote seems appropriate here...

"The problem with Socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money."

A two stroke at sea level is even more fun.

I took my Honda CRX to the coast and wow, what a difference.

My new parts scooter... Mid to late 90's ch80 for $80 on CL. I gave him $60.
LOTS of GOOD parts including a nearly new front tire and the rear side panels I was needing for the black beater scooter!

Yeah, Nat- here at sea level we do have some nice dense air!

Nice bike. I rode a KTM that a dealer buddy of mine had for sale. I couldn't touch the ground but it was smooth as butter riding over the railroad tracks.

The thrashed clutch from the yellow 80. Uneven wear, metal embedded into the shoes and a huge gouge...

Some pics from a few days ago.

I have been harvesting the only natural hardwood we have growing in the ditches to build some hardwood furniture for our new house we rented. It's pin cherry, choke cherry, and mayday cherry.

This one is a pin cherry tree. I dig them out stump and all by hand to get he nice hardwood in the stump.

Little Piaggio Typhoon is a real work horse. I had around 125 pound of wood, me at 170, the dog at 25, my cordless 20 volt Dewalt reciprocating saw, two battery's and some grocery's.

It still reached 65kmh on the way home.

Next morning the load is on the ground.

This one was around 7 inches in diameter. That's big for a cherry tree here. Most never reach more than 4 inches.

The day after, headed to a job site.

This is where my dog Swiper rides. When loaded with wood, he rides on top of it, or in my lap.
