I've been REALLY needing a workbench for all the various things I've been working on. Mostly mopeds and stuff.
Saw this tucked away in a friends shed. He said "take it". After three hours of disassembling, cleaning, and fighting a horde of black widows (seriously) I have a nice Craftsman bench with a new top.

The top was a door that a friend cut down. He runs a door assembly shop so it was free since it was a defect. Sprayed a leftover can of sealant on it and fastened it down. Got some new, longer hardware for the vice, so I did end up spending around $2 or so.

The original fiberboard top held up pretty well for a couple decades but it had seen better days.

I got rid of these drawers that were on it. They would only give the spiders more places to hide in my carport. I hate metal drawers full of tools, anyhow.

I love free stuff, thought I'd share my saturday afternoon project with yall.

Sounds like a back saver. Right price too.

Epic score!! I love it when something gets another shot at making someone happy.

Yeah, and it sure beats rebuilding Tomos moped engines on the hood of my Ford Ranger.
