Skoolie Spottings

Spotted this down the street from my house. I think it's been parked there about a week now, Vermont tags. Anyone on here?

It's definitely had some extensive reconstruction- a bit rough around the edges.

The WhyNot, the bobbed one in the first post, parked in front of our house yesterday, right where Buster the Goshen has been undergoing (slow) conversion the past couple of months. Unfortunately, it was the one day he was in the shop, so couldn't get the two of them together. Spotted these two just down the road this morning. Who knew Bozeman was such a hotbed of bus conversions.

I like the back porch idea, but I'd imagine that bus leaks like a sieve.

This is what camp grounds don't like, not to mention insurance companies.

I agree 100 % with you, I wish people wouldn't do this, its hard enough to get taken seriously when you show up at a camp ground, or the dreaded insurance inspection. but I guess we all beat our drum to a different beat

That ones been in some news clips IIRC. I think they use it as a mobile meth lab/glass blowing studio. Shoddy conversion. I wonder who insures it.

I recall the first time i saw a skoolie drive down the tunrpike....i was on my bike, i almost fell for a double-take!
i have to drive around my area, as i know for sure close by there is another bus-nut who saw our bus, stopped, and left his business card...i wasn't home, and i can't find the card!

Two more sightings in Bozeman, MT
Super short, lifted, 4WD. Parked a couple of spaces down from a neighbor's bus that they just started pulling the seats out of (the yellow Ford).

And a pretty under-the-radar wheelchair coach conversion

Spotted this one on the beltline in Raleigh, NC today.

Then again, later today, 150 miles down 64 in Plymouth, NC.

Odd coincidence.
