SKOOLIEDOCKING

I was getting some flack from a "boondocker" over what boondocking consists of. Why are there so many arbitrary rules about this stuff any more. So I have come up with a "new" term for what we do!!!
Quote:
from New Mexico for the summer?
Dugggg: "Sorry but you can't operate a business in most state parks."

ME: "Sometimes you can! As a qualifed minority business owner, I can apply to operate my business in some state parks..."

Dugg: "Boondocking is not tent camping."

ME: You boondocking people need to make up your minds. First you "boondockers" have hissy fits when some people call wallydocking/pavement parking without hookups boondocking. The "boondockers" insist that you have to be doing that "out in the boonies" AND without hookups. So now, even though we tent camped "out in the boonies" AND "without hookups" that wasn't boondocking.

I don't want to boondock..... too many "rules".

And then tent camper say that if you don't sleep on the ground, you aren't really "camping".

Okay I've got it... We don't "boondock".
We don't "camp".
We don't "RV" since we are in a schoolbus conversion........

WE SKOOLIEDOCK!!! :P
We live in our converted school bus, for as long as we like, as often as we like, where we like

Skoolies = freedom... for the freedom to be whom you want to be, the freedom to camp where you want, the freedom to camp how you want!

No stix-&-staples "straight jackets" for us!.

Re: SKOOLIEDOCKING

We just don't fit anyone's "definition" for what we do. So for now on.....
We skooliedock

We "skooliedock" in Town & Country RV Park.
We are "fulltime skooliedockers".
When we travel, we like to "skooliedock" in parking lots.
Sometimes we will "skooliedock" in a public campground with no hookups.
Skooliedocking. It's a mindset and a way of life!
Everybody... Skooliedock! (wheres the polka music?)

I need a bumper sticker!!!!!

Some serious boobage in that 2nd clip.

Skoolies rule, no doubt. Of course, this is one of the few "RV" sites you can say that without the blowback.

Way to go Lorna.... I think you just created a new word.

That VengaBoys song brings back memories.... they played the crap out of it at high school dances.

What kinda bus was the 6 flags one? Crown? Flexie? Looked very cool nonetheless.

Actually its a GMC 4103. Not a Flx or Crown. The busnuts on Ian's BBS spent some time (one day) before they nailed it down. How sad is it that I know that?
I like the bouncy song..... it's one of those songs that you just have to be happy when you hear it. Good song.

I read through that thread you linked to. Ya it did not take them long at all to figure it out. Very cool looking ride.

Re: SKOOLIEDOCKING

I like the sound of "shuttledocking"! Make up your own word! I find it sad how narrow minded the RVing world has become.
