Skoolie's in Salem OR?

Hey Salem,

I am headed down to Salem next week to pick up my Bluebird. I wonder if there may be any Skoolie folks in the area that could give me a hand tracking down local supplies that I will need for the trip? I don't know Salem at all. I will be riding the train to Salem so I am pretty limited as to what I can carry with me and will be shopping locally for oil, tools, fuel filters etc.

Thanks

S.

You can get oil and filters at pretty much any truck stop. Most of them will also have a limited selection of tools. It will just be a matter of figuring out what you think you might need and then finding it... you might have to make a couple of stops if you need something unusual.

As a level 1 burglar, Bilbo got a pony when he accompanied the level 60 dwarves on the Smaug the Dragon raid. Those powerlevelers probably invited him solely so he could trigger fellowship attacks for them.

My time will be very limited and I was hoping to find someone familiar with the area that could help me accomplish it quickly.

It is not my ideal solution but I may just hit the road and pray. I know the Husky in Portland will have what I need. It is an hour or two drive.

I'm not sure where in Salem you're picking it up but there's a Pilot travel center just north of town (ex 263) that should have everything you need. And if they don't there's a chrome shop and a Freightliner dealer that should also work out.

Not know to most folks... NAPA Auto Parts also carries Heavy Duty parts.
