Slow rise foam insulation?

First of all I sincerely hope this isn’t any repeat, but I haven’t been able to find an answer on this site.

I purchased a Skoolie half completed and really hope I don’t have to tear everything out to insulate the bus. Drilling and replacing a ton of pop rivets sounds like a huge waste of time and money if it could be avoided with slow rise spray foam insulation.

That being said, I read that slow rise foam insulation is for walls that are already intact. However I haven’t seen much info on this with Skoolies. Is it possible for me to drill some small holes and spray slow rise insulation and then check the expansion amount with a FLIR or TIC to see if there are any thermal barrier gaps?

Thanks so much in advance!!

Only if you promise to film it and post the results to youtube. You could solve a bunch of misconceptions.

Do you have access to such goodies?
