Yep... Friday now... And the adventure has begun.

And I am stuck. Lol...

No problem driving... It actually drives real easy....but i now have a leaky return fuel line. The former owner had part of it replaced yesterday when we noticed a leak and it was ok for a bit, but now it is leaking where they connected the new hose.

Got from Caraquet to just outside of edmunston and now waiting for my insurance bureau to open so I can get a tow... Sigh......

Keep your chin up. An event this big and epic is bound to have some struggle.You will prevail! A fuel return leak isn't the end of the world, but I understand it for sure is a hassle! It will all be worth it, though.

Mein Gott, Paxye! What a ride! All that trouble over a torn up fuel line. Holy snap. Glad ya made it home alright.

First order of business! Check that silly sensor! And make sure the fuel line is good and everything's fixed again and blah blah blah, whatever order you're doing things in.

Yup! Start going through threads and you will get a feel for where most of us started. You will also be able to look at your bus and determine what will be important for you. One thing that I recommend...don't do more than necessary. This is a VERY easy project to get in over your head if you get caught up in it. Not EVERYTHING needs to be done right away, some can be expanded on later. Be methodical and make lots of lists. Don't decide something major needs to be done and then start on it the same day. Think about it for a while. Sleep on it. If after a few days it still seems important, go for it! I will post a picture of an example. I tore out my entire console so that I could build my own and rewire pretty much everything. Completely unnecessary. This wasted a LOT of time because I then couldn't decide what I wanted to do with the heater, if I wanted to keep the defrost AND cabin heaters separate, if I wanted to actually build a ducted system from this that heated the whole front half of the bus, etc... I also had to rewire the whole console. Bottom line, I was already tired and this burnt me out every time I looked at it. I could have gotten basically the same results by just building around what was existing.

Lol...What the hell was I thinking!!

I have been reading and lurking for about 2 years now so I have a few places I know where I want to start... now it is to actually do it... lol. And I also have to decide what I want to do with the heaters and AC units. Discard or keep?

I don't think that we will be doing much more then we can handle. My hubby is not can not even hang a shelf very well so I will be doing most of it. The thing with me though is that I need to learn a lot so I will not touch things I don't know how to do unless I really need to and then figure out a plan before hand. Maybe a good thing for this type of project.

The big snag now though is that Quebec is REALLY hard to get RV status. The bus however already has it but because it was given and bought in another province I have to get it inspected here before getting Quebec plates and to do that it needs to conform to Quebec standards. Sigh... so basically it has to sit in my driveway until it is ready to pass the inspection and is completely converted. So I better get going. It also means that the compostable toilet I wanted won't work out because they don't see it as conforming. I hate Quebec at times.

We can register anything here, hell even giant V8 powered shopping carts

and tail light lenses are an option!

Bien sur!

I speak french at home with the hubby and I speak english with the kids. I was actually very surprised that I nearly did not speak english at all the whole time I was in NB.
