South Padre Island - Spring Break?
Hey guys, I was part of the group with Phil and Jason that went to Padre last year for Spring Break 06 and I finally got me a bus roadworthy enough for the trip and I plan on going March 17th through the 25th. If anyone wants to tag along give me a holla. It was a blast last year and I figure the more skoolies the better!

I wont be going either, the buss sand thing dont mix. Being under Jasons buss and trying to dig with waves almost to the floor was fun for a while but the novelty is gone!
Phil What about you?
BTW I should be getting my buss in the next 3 weeks.

No.... No planed bus trips yet Hell it hasn't even moved in 4 or 5 months. Its buried in the snow right now, I don't think it could move if I wanted it to.
I'm going to Florida in a few weeks but I'm taking my car & staying with family down there. I'd like to take the bus but I'll save $700 in fuel costs taking my car.
Thats awesome that your getting a bus Pat... Do you have a bus picked out yet?

So, has it been enough time that you can sit back and laugh at the whole thing, or not so much?

Oh we were laughing at the time...
In fact the a day or 2 before the incident Jason left his bus parked on the beach and rode with us to find a campsite @ the campground. After we found a spot he hitched a ride back to get his bus, when he returned he said that all the windows were smashed out, tires were flat and the bus was trashed. We all fell for it. Then he starts laughing... naaa it's fine.
So a few days later he comes walkin up, "oh guys its terrible, the bus got stuck in the sand, its buried up to the frame, we've been up all night digging bla bla bla"..... Of course, having just fallen for his trickery a few days ago, noone believed him for while.
I believed him when he started calling tow truck companies.
Even when we were stuck - sitting on that beach for days, it was still better than being in Michigan - where the temperatures were in the 30's
