special thanks to smitty

Smitty has been a great contributer to this site all you have to do is look back through the site and see his posts,IE gas plumbing and wire guaging just to name a few.Ya all you people that hack him for his opinions go ahead but ill bet you have used info he has posted here on your bus if you have one.Havent seen him around here much anymore and not sure if he will be back but I will say Its a loss to this forum. So thanks ol buddy yoyu have helped me alot on my bus and im sure many others with your knowledgeable posts and it was great to see you build your bus, thanks for sharing that also.As the membership increases here, the site has become more distant for some of us who have been here for years.I think I was arount the 600th to join 3 years ago.Myself I have low to no patience for trollers and have no interest in politics I joined this site for busses.Lots of good conversation with others has been fun here also.So keep on bussin, timbuk

I haven't always agreed with Smitty but at the end of the day we have been friends and the guy has always been there with suggestions and good solid information. I consider him my friend and I also hope to see him stick around.

Hey Timbuk could you post a link to Smitty's forum or PM a link to me please? I guess it's time for me to register over there.

I remembered part of the address, and went to Smitty's board. It is now closed to non-member browsing. So, I clicked on "Create an Account" and got:

Maybe a PM here will get an invite? I might try later.

Re: special thanks to smitty

Well said Timbuk! I consider Smitty a friend and have most always backed him up on everything. He's old school and opinionated and not afraid to voice that. I would bet he's the same in person as well as "On the net" I hope it's not health or Police issues keeping him away. He was getting a very shitty deal from the local LEO's and it did'nt sound like they were backing off. I hope he can continue with his plans and get out to the southwest. I would really like to meet up with him. He has had a lot of solid advice and taken his share of abuse here. (and given in return )

Best wishes Smitster dude. Be well and come home! XXXOOO
What's that Lassie? Timmy's in the well?

Re: special thanks to smitty

My sentiments exactly. Smitty has helped me stumble along since day one. He was the first to laugh WITH me at the total lack of knowledge I possesed when I bought my bus and gave me some good advice: Build it the way you want because in the end you are the only one you need to satisfy.

Thank You my friend.
