Hey Jason,

I'm originally from New York City and know about the cold. (well, maybe not the cold you're experiencing). That's why I relocated to the south and never plan to go back on a permanent basis.

Today, I was walking the dogs with shorts and enjoying the nice warm weather (must have been in the high 70s here in Houston).

So, come on down and enjoy the weather and the scenery, I'll have the Mountain Dew ready.

If we hang out during a summertime event, Phil and I can take the ferry across lake michigan. It's about hte same price as buying fuel for the drive through chicago and back up. Perhaps we could all go to motorcycle week in sturgis SD someday

Yeah I hope to take more trips in my Skoolie... I've had this thing 2 years (this June) & haven’t really taken it on any long trips... so I'm really looking forward to the trip to Texas next week.

I wish your bus was done enough to come along with us... maybe next year. You could always ride along if you want too, there’s room on my bus & Jason’s bus, we could meet up someware on the way…. Or like Jason said we can always go someware in the summer.

My wife and I always have wanted to go to the Sturgis thing. We have talked about it for years. Hopefully next year we will have a finished bus and be ready to travel.

We were in South Dakota driving east, coming back from a camping trip in Montana one summer, when all of a sudden we started getting passed by bunches of motorcycles. It went on a long time. Then we figured out that the Sturgis event was going on.

My advice for driving a skoolie on the sand......Bring a heavy duty tow strap and a shovel. We've used both to "unstuck" our buses. The buddy system works out quite well...it's nice to know you have another large vehicle to pull you out.

Ever stand in one spot on the beach as the waves from the ocean cover your feet.......as that water retreats to the ocean, it erodes the ground you are standing on. Just an FYI: The same applies to skoolie tires!
