Tall Guy Woes

Getting serious about shopping for my first skoolie after a recent separation. I've found one I really like on Craigslist, but it requires some travel to go and take a look. The floor to ceiling measurement is 5' 10." Unfortunately I'm 6' 1." Will i end up being miserable, always hitting my head. I mean how much time does one really spend completely upright anyway?

Both my buses have high headroom so ti hasn't been an issue for me. When I was boat shopping most of them had under 6 foot of head room and I felt like that end up causing real problem.

I’m 6’1 so that was a concern that I had too. I went with a Thomas C2/B2B which has a 75” roof. The only time that I touch the roof is when I’m in the shower which is on the side where the height isn’t quite 75” inches.

For me, I do a lot of standing whether it’s doing dishes, cooking, getting dressed, so a lot. I couldn’t deal with a 5’10” roof but to each their own.

Also, something else to think about is if you add flooring and insulation, that will eat up some more of that 70 inches.

There are old buses that have more than 75", so OP- don't think you have to buy an emissions controlled late model bus for headroom!

Yup - My 1998 has a whopping 78" of headroom! Love it.
