They do have a 1999 for a grand less. At what age do they have to be decommissioned?
It varies.

Some states have specific ages, others can run them as long as they pass inspection.

That said, it is being sold by a dealer with a very strong reputation for treating people very well. If I were looking at dealer buses, I'd look there first.

That price will be negotiable, but it's still going to be high, and an '05 can still be put into service transporting kids, so the price might not come down much as you are competing in a different market to buses even only two or three years older.
Beat me to the 2 reasons i would walk.

Well they aren't "magical". A whole fleet just sold in Oregon.

Finding the right bus at auction doesn't happen by accident. You have to put in the work, sometimes over months.

It's not for everyone, and plenty of people pay retail. If you end up being one of them at least you found a good dealer.

Those are clean busses but wow. And I agree the 4k busses seem to be a thing of the past. More and more people buying these things up. If you can wait a few more months till school is out I figure there should be a flood of them hit the market. I myself am watching one with no sale date yet. Very depressing and stressful.
