Tire Protection?

Hi
I am looking for some tire protectant that will protect my tires from the elements, I want to get as many years out of my tires as possible, I wont wear them out but I dont want them to dry rot or crack, what really works and protects?

I am not looking for a armorall shine I am only looking for protection I could care less if my tires have a armorall new look to them again I am talking about rubber protection here.

I assume buying a tire cover is one layer of protection...

Thanks in advance..

Re: Tire Protection?

Thanks guys, I know covers are good for UV rays but other things dry rot or crack tires like ozone so I need something to protect the tires from things other than UV.

Seat covers are long gone, crap I never thought about using them for tire covers, I kept the seat covers for a week or so trying to think of a use for them DOH!

Keep in mind I am not looking to make the tires look good I am looking for protection...

Thanks again

Re: Tire Protection?

I did a google search on this and found this thread... http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?t=25965

Sounds like food Food Grade Silicone Lubricant Spray is a cheap way to prevent dry rot. I think I'm going to pick up a can and give it a try.
