I used to listen to a radio program that was hosted by Art Bell. He told a story about some lame-brained guy who had gotten a hold of a JATO rocket (Jet Assist Take Off). They use these things on C130 aircraft to get them off the ground in 150 feet.
Well, the dum dum guy strapped it to his 60s Chevy car. After reaching over 100 miles per hour, the driver frantically stepped on the brakes of the car. Of course, the tires and brakes burned up.
It was estimated that the car was traveling (actually flying) at close to 300 miles per hour when it crashed into the side of a mountain.
That is what I call Stupid Human Tricks.
