I have one of the telescoping ladders and like it just fine. I have used it here at my studios for the past couple of years but it will eventually be going in the bus.

dont know if this is already mentioned, but be sure to watch all the youtube videos that the eastwood company puts out. They have some great information, even for the experienced mechanics and body people

Yeah I've used some eastwood products since the 90's.
The only thing about them is they're all just marked-up, re-branded stuff. YOu can usually find the product without the eastwood label for substantially less $$.
But I will say they do sell good products. I used to buy a re-labeled can of rusty metal primer from them, then found out it was just Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer.

Will only go to Horror Freight on a last-ditch effort. My youngest brother does not understand my need to buy quality items once vs. many times over (i.e., HF). I've seen the junk HF puts out - NO THANKS!

I agree with tools I will use repeatedly... But for one off tools that I will never use again, hf works. It was cheaper to buy a hf wet tile saw than rent one. I was doing my bathroom and could only work on it a day at a time. So I spent 130 (-20% lol) and when I was done I have loaned it out about 5 times. If I had rented a wet saw 2 times from the home despot I would have been at 120.
You get what you pay for, and sometimes you need cheep stuff.

Agreed on the HF. If I need something where the cost differential is great, I'll buy the HF on the one-off theory. If/when it breaks, that means I need that function enough to buy a decent one.
On a related topic, THANKS to all the folk that recommended Ryobi cordless tools. I have finally broken my addiction to HF cordless anything and have started to build up a stable of Ryobi +1 stuff.

I had a Rigid cordless hammer drill and for the life of me I can't find it. I have a feeling I loaned it to someone. Can't remember who. It's been gone long enough I need to buy another. I'm not brand loyal but I'll get something NON-H.F.

IIRC you were one of the folk who put me on the path to Ryobi stuff. Cheap is relative; at $130 for the drill/impact driver I could have bought 5 HF units and thrown them through 5 separate windows.

I just got a RIDICULOUS deal on a Bosch 18v cordless set. Impact, Drill, Sawzall, and a badass led work light, two batteries, and a charger for $180. The next week they put the right price on the set- its supposed to be $380! SCORE!!!

A couple of years ago I got a call from my next door neighbor asking me to get over to Lowes and help him NOW. Turned out that some mo-ron had mislabeled a compressor that was supposed to sell for $799 as $199. He asked the clerk at the register to verify the price and got told that she'd sell it for what it said on it. 200 gallon 10hp upright. We were loading it onto his pickup when the manager literally ran out of the store and over to us to explain that there had been a mistake. My friend readily agreed and explained to the manager that it was his mistake, not ours, and we drove off.

I have a watch that is similar. It stopped working and I took it back to the store. Had a hell of a time with the return; couldn't find it in the system. Turns out it was a $400 watch that they mis-rung as $150. They would refund the $150 not the $400. So now I have a dead $400 watch that I'll get around to sending out for repair oneday someday.
