vector inverter 750/1500 fan?

Any one think there will be any problem by disconnecting the loud fan on the inverter? On my cheap 750 inverter (unknown name) the fan hardly ever came on and it did last 3 years before it started not putting out as much as it used to which then I replaced it with another cheap one but only a 400 instead.

I did clip the black wire on the vector because sitting in a charter bus waiting for the group the fan gets annoying listening to. So far it doesn't seem to be over heating. But what are or could be the long term effects be? The inverter doesn't last as long as it could and I'm sure I just voided any warranty it may have had on it.

After trying this for the last month here is my update.
As long as I use the smaller laptop with the smaller load need it will run alright with no problems.
I'm trying it today with the big gaming laptop and the red light cam on and I'm guessing it was because it got hot as it was hatter than I've ever felt it. I hooked up the wire again and it cooled down and is running good.
