Water Drain valve on Air brakes

Hi all,

Went and fired up the bus this weekend and hear a hissing noise once it was running and brake pressure was up.

I am showing 125psi on the gages so that is good. I crawled under where the hissing was coming from. I put my hand up to the noise and could feel it coming out from seal.

It appears this is a 2 piece part, a cast housing that the lines go to and a cast piece that looks like it holds the valve to let water and air out. The piece that the valve is in is cracked. I can see it the air is leaking out around that area.

So does anyone know where I can get one? or do I pull it and have it welded and machined? I would really prefer getting a new one and welding this one as a back up.

Thanks!!

My wild guess is that the air dryer is leaking. You can buy rebuild/reseal kits for them. Or your governor filled with water and cracked. Hard to say without a picture.
