What bus has your favorite (exterior) paint job?

That's rediculous. You're only strange if you're poor. You're excentric if you have money. Obviously all of rich bus owners are excentric, otherwise we'd drive smart cars and priusseses (plural Prius) like all the other poor people.

Bigger is obviously better. What we're compensating for is our own business.

That means he can toss the whole damn bus out the window if he so pleases. There are stories of just this thing happening.

I know you were speaking flippantly and hypothetically, but this is important. You're living in a bus; you have time to burn. Make him go to a judge and explain why he needs the search warrant. It'll buy you the time to ingest whatever he's looking for, if needs be.

He don't need no stinking warrant as long as he has probable cause. Looking thru a window is probable if he sees something.

Didn't we already slice&dice this one once? That is true for a passenger vehicle, but I thought we had determined that an RV not in motion is considered a residence. I could be wrong, and Officer Bored may well be willing to teach me the law at gunpoint, but that's my memory of the discussion.

That is correct, an RV is a legal domicile. They can't do much without your consent.

I've got to ask myself what kind of patrol would stop a bus unless you've got a headlight out, expired tags or something. It used to be they were looking for pot smoking hippies.

Has anyone been stopped unreasonably?

Probable cause is probable cause. What is the difference between your windshield and your bay window? I was walking down the sidewalk and you have a 6 foot pot plant on your coffee table. Guess what, I don't need no stinkin warrant.

I can't kick in your door and go thru your closet just because I feel like it. The definition of probable cause becomes a slippery slope. I smell someone smoking, I can go around back and check the deck but probably can't go inside unless it's fire smoke.

I know a forum member who was stopped and searched after a trip to Colorado. Lucky for them, the cops threw out what little they had herb-wise and let them go. But that's on a REALLY good day it happens like that!

I need to get all of my trucker songs on a single thumb drive so I can just have it loop on the next road trip. Then I'll know if the gf is the right one or not. I'll need to make sure the knife drawer is tied into the emergency door circuit.

Careful- the mods DO NOT like trucker tunes, for whatever reason. Posting a Cledus Maggard track got me a "warning" or whatever.

Mine loves critters and cringes when there's road kill so one of my favorites is Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road. I think it's a Dr. Demento song but it's in the same style as the trucker songs. She "loves" it.

It's simple common sense to not draw attention to yourself unless you enjoy talking with officers that are board on their late shift. The most notable thing on the exterior of this bus will be its boring paint job. No stove pipe out the window, no party deck on top (although I'd like one), no painted over windows.



I'm told that mosquitos aren't as bad at the height of a roof deck. Can anyone confirm that or not?

Idk if true or not. But my thinking is that the mosquitos stay where the food is... The ground, but they are also attracted to carbon monoxide so your breath attracts them. But your above them....
Somebody should study this.

Sitting way up in a tree stand hunting doesn't seem to deter any mosquitoes.

we used to have both.
I grew up in a FL "cracker house". In a RURAL county. Miss those days!
