Re: What bus was it?

Thomas C2's are becoming more and more prevalent and have that tall look to them.

C2's are built on a Freightliner chassis.

78 inches which is pretty decent compared to the 72 I have.

Re: What bus was it?

I wonder what a new windshield would cost? all of that curved glass
i pulled up behind one the other day, looks like a lot of inward taper to the upper sides, hopefully a wider body with the same old roof.
I'll take one with a cummins 8.3, 7 speed manual & 3.54 ratio

Try again. You can have a C7 ACERT or a Benz MBE900 with an Allison.

Re: What bus was it?

the Thomas C-2 has been around for about 3 years, yes they are ugly without a question, my wife drives a school bus, the district that she drives for has about 10 of those, she has said that they drive and handle good, but prefers the Blue Birds the best.

But they make a version without the lights. I'm just not sure we're ever going to see those. I'll ask my mom how much it costs her district to buy a bus (she's been on the school board for many rounds of bus buying).

According to Thomas' website, $475 to $550, parts and labor (when performed by a Thomas Built authorized service center). Seems awfully cheap to me - I wonder if the factory is subsidizing the job when "their" people do it?

Heh, I did a double-take at first, and thought that was a notch too, but it's just the angle the picture was taken. If you look real close you can see the white roofline meet the top of the windshield.
