.
Yep.

I did a bunch of Silent Radio on a Theme Camp thread on the Burning Man forum
last year, with considerable success. They even produced some of it and played
on the camp PA. So I got the wild idea to throw some humor at this forum also.
Trouble is, I haven't figured out how to make it funny yet -- it was too late
in the day. Anybody wann'a run with it?

Here's a sample of Silent Radio from Kamp Apokiliptika. (Warning -- this is art. Do not call 911.)
It's about four posts down on this page (if all goes well):

Ah, here's a good one. It starts quite a ways down this page, posted June 12, 2006.

Don't try to understand this stuff -- you had to be there.

Perhaps, but I'd rather have those 3 huge bays underneath the floor boards!!

There seems to be quite an echo echo echo in this bus bus bus.

Rode one of my Kinetic Kontraptions in a parade yesterday -- in the pouring rain.
It was great! Life is so much fun if we allow it to be!

It's pouring rain here too and about 40 degrees with 20-30 mph winds. I'll bet riding one of those rigs in this **** wouldn't be any fun at all, no matter how much you tried to let it be.

That damn global warming thing I been reading and hearing so much about can feel free to kick in any old time. brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Well, I wore a rain coat and a real good southwester. Cut the coat off so it wouldn't get
in the chains (which has happened before! ) So only my pants got soaked -- and
my legs kept warm (sort'a) by pedaling. I never sat still in the parade. If I couldn't
run forward, I ran circles. People love it when I run circles and up on the sidewalk
and whatever -- and almost tip over and....
We never run in a straight line in parades. We zigzag and run circles and race each other
and whatnot. Lemm'e tell ya', nothing will warm ya' like "the roar of the crowd" when
you put on a good show!

Elliot, how about posting some videoclips on Youtube or so?
Would like to see what you are actually driving around.

Thanks! Would love to "show off" on video, but with dial-up and precious little computer
savvy, it ain't gonna happen. But I'll see if I can find some links or something.
My avatar will have to do for right now -- that's me with the black top hat.

Photos from KSR

Heads up! Take cover!

In the absence of video, I’ll post some stills. Some of these are shown elsewhere on
this forum, and a couple are just uploaded today.

Pear County Chopper in a parade. Add rain coat and matching rain, and you have
yesterday’s “performance”:

My first Kinetic Racer, Two Ton Tricycle, enters water at Ventura 2002, by Robert Bernstein
-- thank you for a great shot, Mr. Bernstein!:

El Wobblor on land. Just a boat with wheels and pedal drive. Anybody
can do it -- even my good friend Lyle Nunnemaker.

...And on water

Henry Ford Goes Surfing coming out of water:

And on Dead Man’s Drop:

Poseidon’s Trident at Clearlake. Built by Peter and modified by me:

Frogasaurus Rex coming out of Clear Lake. Built by Allen Brown.

Drum Roll, built by Marek Lechowski and Tom Gray:

...And a moment later:

That’ll have to do for now.
