WHEN, WHERE, WHAT and HOW MUCH?

Thought I might start a thread where newbies can get a feel for what's been bought.

If anyone else wants to join in I think a good format would be ...

year purchased/state purchased/yr & model/price/your location in the title of the post.

ex: 2014/GA/92 BlueBird/$3800/GA

Having the yr purchased should help with a feel for real time $$$$.

Next a feel for what's out there & where and a base price of what you paid.

Adding your location would let them know if you travelled to get it and you can include your travel charges if asked.

More info can be given if someone wants more such as where & how did you buy it, the condition of the bus, etc.

If anyone wants to join in great or let me know if this is stupid & I'll have Admin delete it.

Holy cow! You got a 2014 Blue Bird for $3800. That's a screaming deal.

I don't want to learn to read. I would get too depressed if I could read some of the silly posts here.

I'll throw my info in here. If anything this might help cut down on the "how much does a bus cost?" or "Is it a good deal?" type newbie posts. As long as this thread doesn't get too cluttered with chit chat.

I find the format a little confusing, what's the last field supposed to be? Is that where the bus is titled?

So, in summer 2015 I traveled from the Houston, Texas area about 5 hours to northern Louisiana to purchase a 1988 Bluebird TC/2000 with a 5.9L Cummins and Allison AT545 transmission for $2,500.

2015/LA/88 BlueBird TC2000/$2,500/TX

In November of 14 I picked up my 1992 Ward Senator in Elkton Ky for $2150.
Drove it 800 miles home to FL. It has the DT466 and Allison 643.

August 2015, WA, 1986 Thomas 84 px Saf-T-Liner, $1900, I'm in WA.

One of a batch all auctioned at the same time on publicsurplus.com. I have seen at least 3 of that batch listed locally on CL for $4000 and up.
