Where can I lookup International build specs?

I just saw a local 2007 international BE 20 that appears to be in very good condition. It's got 19.5" wheels, which I'm not thrilled about, but it's really clean. Owner says 6.0l engine and Allison trans, not super helpful, but I've got the model and serial number, so I assumed I could look it up somewhere--however I couldn't find anything. Does anyone have a resource to look it up?

Thanks, Brad

What is a BE20? Google search showed nothing. We normally would try and talk you out of anything newer than an 04 due to emission gremlins.

Do you have a sale link?

6.0l is not a very desirable engine according to many.

Yes, here is the link:
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ssenger_banner

Also, from tag:
Model: PB40500
Serial number: 426498
Manufactured: 06/09/06
Seating Cap: 29

I know, it's newer than I want, but it looks really nice. Includes extensive maintenance records, recent new fuel tank, newer heating system installed by International.

Seems like it's worth investigating.

19.5 inch wheels might mean it has a flat floor to accommodate wheelchair passengers. not having to design and build around the wheel wells inside a bus is a positive for some.

Ah--Thank you. Lighter model--explains the tiny wheels, makes room for a flat floor. Not an engine I was considering, either--but shouldn't run into issues finding service on the road, right?

Any idea what the Allison 1000 PTS is? Haven't seen that before.

Be fair warned the 6.0 engine (especially the Ford version) had some very serious issues. The engine can be "bulletproofed" to address these issues (at no small cost), and more than one forum member bought one, suffered catastrophic engine overheating/failure on the way home, completely ruining the engine. At that point, it is said they cannot be rebuilt and a new engine is $25,000+

That bus is going to be rusty as hell. They're being careful not to show any pics of major rust (like, no underside pics at all) which in a PA bus means lots of major rust, and the rusty bolt heads on the seat legs next to the aisle are a giveaway as well.

Thanks--it's actually from NJ, same same. But I'm just sorting out if it's worth going to look at. Sounds not, from the details I've gathered so far. I appreciate the advice on rust, I know what to look for if I go look at it. I used to work on classic Rolls/Bentley/Jaguars, so I'm familiar with hidden surprises.

Thanks, Brad

The rust under the existing floor will always be the worst rust on a bus. Unfortunately you can't see that during an inspection usually. So if there is other tell tale rust, likely the floor is toast and will need work to correct before you ever get started to build your dream. I would not look for any bus from New England. The travel expense to buy a better bus usually works out to be cheaper.
When ever I had cars to sell I always listed them in North East states CraigsList as rust free southern cars. I'd get twice would I could get down here for the car.
