Where do you park?

For those not on the road, sticking to one city, where do you park?

Did you find someone that let you park on their land? Or found a secluded street/park area you've been able to stay at? Do you regularly move around the city like to Wal-Mart lots? Etc.

What have been the pros and cons of your choice?

I park at a friend's property 15 miles outside of town.
But after a spat with the city I can park a bus in my own yard. It just can't be yellow and has to be titled as MH.

Howdy and Welcome Hophophouse!

This is one of the big reasons that conversions are not performed in the "ideal" order. Sometimes they just have to be made 'livable' first.

For the first four months or so, I parked/worked next to my Mom's place which is on some rural acreage. The next few months included some travel but mostly stayed at friend's places.

Pros/Cons? Pros were certainly having electricity, being able to make a bit of a mess (short term - pulling out seats/interior), having water/shower, and the occasional helping hand. I guess the cons were being somewhat dependent. I was used to being completely independent so didn't like that feeling.

Sometimes you have no choice but it is helpful if you can find a place with electricity, water, reasonably close to home improvement/hardware stores, and some shade (if in a hot spot).
