Where to go???

OK, so my rig is actually usable now, and I want to get a couple small trips in before it goes back under construction for the interior. My questions to all you guys is, where should I go??

I am located in Toledo, OH (NW Ohio) and I have a few weekends open as well as a 4 day weekend for the 4th. I'm looking for a campground or something that is in an interesting location and may have some fun stuff to do close by. Not one of those cookie cutter, cramped 10' x 20' square lot campgrounds. Something fun, and different.

Any suggestions in the MI, IN, PA, and OH area would be greatly appriciated.

Plotting the next project now. Looking for a clean diesel pusher with low rust/miles. Identical plans with plumming and biodiesel added :)

Unfortunately, I dont know either. Thats the type of info I'm looking for too. I'm sure you could hunt something down on yahoo local / yellowpages. Then you'll just have to call ahead to see if they allow skoolies.

My bus is back in the shop again, some minor problems with my exhaust, so I wont be out again for a few weeks. But I too would like to do a trip over to cedar point.

Let me know if you do find anything.

Thats about the time I was thinking of going, late July/early August. I was going to call the campground at cedar point today but I was busy at work all day. If they dont allow skoolies we'll have to search around the aera for a place that does.

This might turn out to be a cool trip, it would be cool to camp with some other skoolies and see what you guys have done.

Awesome! I'm totally in on a joint Cedar Point trip with the Skoolies, and Early Aug/late July would work for me too.

If/when someone finds a campground that allows skoolies, please post. The weekend of July 31'st would work great for me... For I'll be in NC for the next couple weekend following, and then to MIS again after that. And then after MIS its interior construction time for me (beds, furnature, seating, electrical, etc.)

So there's my plans, let me know everyone.

Wow, I can see this becoming a yearly skoolie.net thing. In a few years it will be huge!!!

OBX! Hatteras Village to be exact. Group of friends and I go every year and rent a house. Love it there! Unfortunately its too far for my bus. It would be cool to take it there someday though... Maybe when its all done.

10-4! That's about 2 hours from me. Hope you can get yer time down there before the hurricanes hit, 'cuz buddy they're comin'!

Dennis was a warm up drill (had a big rush of generators come into the shop), Emily's (not really named yet, but that's supposed to be the name) shooting the same tube as Dennis, & there's another behind Emily. But since they don't have steering wheels on 'em yet, anything can happen.

Hope ya have a great time & that the bus can make it one day too!

If anyone's interested, here's a few good weather & hurricane links:

The last one you can get the forecast for any zip code you want to see.

July 27th? because thats on a wed.

Sat night works best for me - I work M-F.

If I left Grand Rapids on sat afternoon, set up camp for the night and went to cedar point during the day on Sunday, that would work best for me

Any weekend works for me, I thought I read that the 30th worked good for someone thats why I was asking about that date when I called.
