Hey everyone
Getting my finances in order to get ready to buy our bus. We have a place to park it while we're converting it, however we're trying to figure out where to park once it's built.
My husband is a carpenter and his job moves around the Greater Toronto Area. We've been having lots of discussions and doing a lot of research. From what I have gathered, the GTA is not free-parking friendly--or even cheap.
I tried this website:
https://freecampsites.net/#!Ontario&query=region
And at first it looks like a mecca of free parking, until closer inspection in our area reveals only one Walmart and the Hamilton Bay Front area which we could probably only get away with for a night, lol.
Some Rvers mentioned to us as well that Walmarts in Canada aren't as cool about the parking over night deal, so that's a shame.
So, I thought I'd reach out to my fellow Ontarians and Canadians and see where you guys park?
We've looked into campgrounds and they sure are expensive up here and a lot of the provincial parks I've found close to the GTA are seasonal, which doesn't help us for winter, plus I looked at the monthly cost for the lowest price on camping and it's still over thousand a month. Yikes.
I'm currently looking to see if it's possible for us to connect with someone who'd be open to a tiny home on their property, but anymore ideas and recommendations would be helpful.
Thank you so much!
