I road with some other students to Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC this weekend. I am not riding with 20-somethings again. These fools were driving 90 and 100 miles an hour on a fairly crowded interstate, tailgating people aggressively to make them move out of the left lane, and thinking that they weren't likely to have an accident. Shoot, at 100 mph, if one tire blew, the car would have been an uncontrollable, rolling, spinning death trap. If someone had pulled out in front of them, or tapped them, or if they had gotten two wheels on the grass and two on the pavement, it would have been all she wrote.
I learned my immortality lessons long ago...vicariously, obviously...

I know what you mean. Last accident I had was getting rear ended while making a right hand turn (and yes, I had my turn signals on).
The guy behind me was going too fast to control his car. Luckily, I was wearing my seat belt.

Amen! I quit a job years ago because they let the new engineers drive the company van. One trip into the median at over 90mph was the last straw. The driver just whipped back onto the pavement and never slowed down. Ah, youth.

Don't worry, when travelling from Arizona to Texas, the only vehicles I passed were either broken down or parked.
