In 2005 an employee invited my wife and me for the same event. It's a double bill. The other event is the same format, only with vehicles towing old boats. The bus drivers were--get this--sheriffs from surrounding counties, raising money for their charity.
In 2006, at a nearby Speedway, the sheriff of Lake County, FL was thrown from his bus, run over and killed with many of his deputies and his wife looking on from the stands.
I didn't know they were still running this event. The sheriff's probably don't participate any more. Very sad.
