The Independance Weekend Update 7
Hello All,
Sorry the delays have been so slow.
We had a couple of rough storms roll through the area which caused a lot of clean up needs.
Plus, honestly I have been avoiding doing bus work.
Due to the heat and humidity mixed with the difficult huge project awaiting me.
So, here it is.
Old Flooring ripped up.
Beams prepared and patched.
New steel flooring installed.
Plus a few other projects and misc pics.
Enjoy
Protective gear and I still had a fragment from grinding impact my eye!
Beginning of rear removal.
Interior rear end of the bus. Far back wall, each side of the door was rotten.
The very last section of rear flooring. Completely rusted and dangerous.
End result, the entire rear wall and floor removed.
Lessons learned, wear extra layers to prevent these little lovelies from finding a home in your skin.
Primed interior panels thanks to countless hours of wire wheeling the hell out of the rust.
Original replacement plan which, quickly changed when the work started haha.
Piecing out the flooring, finding the original welds and cutting sections free.
Removed rusted through section of beam.
Patched Beam.
The hole in the top was due to an overpowered start with my welder.
Exposed Beams.
Majority of the floor replaced.
Exploding Cutting Disc lodging a 1/4" fragment about 1-1.5 cms into my arm.
