So I acquired this bus for free, was having trouble deciding what to do with it until my 11 yr old son started coming up with ideas to convert it into a tiny house. I converted it last year in a matter of 2 months just so we could use it for our adventures that summer. I got the bus for free, but it needed a transmission and brake lines. I have never rebuilt an automatic before, but I wasn't afraid to try....and SUCCESS, it works great. The brake lines and brakes were fixed in a day. A little bodywork to fix the rust and dents, some paint, and it's beautiful. After I finished the inside, the next day we went on a 3 week trip and had the time of our lives. Now, the bus is stuck in the snow, but in the mean time I have acquired a tiny antique wood stove and a really nice slab of cherrywood for a countertop. As soon as I can, I will be changing the inside to be more hang out friendly and will update with pics. Also to be added-solar, rear folding deck and storage underneath and more.
