Hey There! I Live in Thomasville, Ga and I'm trying to get insurance for my Skoolie with a raised roof. What insurance did you go with and do you know if they have problems with raised roofs?

I saw you posted about having a TC1000 - how did you find it? I am up by the Beaverton School district - where I believe you wrote that you bought one. How did you come about getting it? GovDeals? PublicSurplus? School website? Would love some info - thanks!!

I would put it under Mechanicals and Drivetrain. Sounds like a tire/wheel alignment issue, worn tires, air pressure irregularity

hi marc - though I would ask you as your id comes up whereve I look - i have a 2001 International FE 3900 School bus conversion, 40' Roughly 183,000 mileson a DT466 with a Allison MD3060 - the bus veers to the right and its most troubling when on a straight road and I have to constantly veer it straight. Sometimes its takes a while to get the steering back straight - where should I post this sort of query - under mechanical? Thanks for your time marc. Andy

Hey Marc not sure if you saw my latest post so I figured I'd shoot ya a message as I'm considering moving on this bus and there's another potential buyer in the wings. Let me know what ya think, thanks!

Here's what he said about insulation "I peeled back the skin and the original fiberglass insulation was still pearly white, so I left it and added 2" foamular on the walls and floor. The roof is still original fiberglass. There are 2 x Tristar MPPT60's so yes, solar could be expanded easily. I doubt you'll need it though." Planning on going to check it out later today if you give the all clear on the build/price tag! I think the primary cost here is the extensive solar array on the roof, I put the link to his forum add below.

Go ahead and start a build thread to put all the pics in and comments on the build. I don't follow the albums much.

I will try to get a photo to you later if I can figure out this sight. Ugh!

Can you point me to any good threads or youtube, or your deep pools of wisdom and help me figure out how to put 1999 GM silverado seats into my mid bus safely. Can I drill holes into my floor body and use a bolt and a nut? How do people work around the gas tank???

I have to remember but I think that the lift pump is still mechanical on the 466E, id have to look it up.. which would likely mean the fuel filter is on the negative side of the fuel system.. I know the mechanical engines are that way..

I may know a guy who knows the guy who has the junk/salvage buses in SC you mentioned - or at least knows a salvage place in NC that deals in a lot of buses. An hour S of Richmond, if I recall. May I have your email address or phone (for a text) to give him?
