Howdy Rusty. Don't recall such comment, but the general consensus here is that...A. More power is better, especially in a bigger bus...and, B. All mechanical engines will be the least troublesome. Anything after 1994 will be loaded down with EPA mandated sensors, chips & computers that very few people can deal with. Even the factory techs. There are a ton of low mileage buses on the market simply because they became too costly to maintain very early in their lives.

Hi Rusty. I'm new, new to this forum and new to Skoolies. As in still have an umbilical cord.

I saw a post where two buses were compared. One had a 190HP DT466E/turbo engine and the other a 225HP Cummins ISB/turbo engine. You said that the Cummins wins.

My question is, were you referring to the name brand of the engine or the higher HP?

    Thanks
